ART FARE FOR CUMBRIAN ARTIST

CAREER CHANGE IS FARE PLAY FOR CUMBRIAN ARTIST

An up and coming artist, who has given up running a successful taxi company to pursue his dream of forging a career in contemporary art, is one of the attractions at this weekend’s 4th Aberdeen Art Fair at the Music Hall.

University of Cumbria graduate Michael Hunter, who is exhibiting at the AAF for the first time, believes his style will bring something a bit different to the event. “My work is unique and I have a style of my own which is contemporary, fresh and utilises interesting colour combinations.
“I produce original, low edition prints which look great in modern settings and my style has moved dramatically in recent times from the traditional approach earlier adopted. I do feel my style is something people will not have seen before and I’m very much looking forward to coming to Aberdeen.

“Reaction to my work has been extremely positive, and that has given me the added confidence to step away from the successful taxi business that I ran to concentrate all of my efforts into my painting. To date, it would seem to have been the correct decision!”
